Bio
Maida approaches therapy with warmth, curiosity, and a strong appreciation for the complexity of identity, culture, and lived experience.
Having navigated life across different cultural environments throughout various stages of development, she understands how difficult it can feel to exist between worlds while searching for a sense of belonging and self-understanding.
Her clinical interests include anxiety, mood disorders, grief and loss, unprocessed life transitions, and the emotional impact of cultural and family expectations.
Maida is especially passionate about supporting individuals from immigrant, multicultural, and underserved communities who may have felt overlooked or misunderstood within traditional systems of care.
In addition to her clinical training, Maida has remained deeply involved in community-based work through organizations supporting immigrant populations, literacy initiatives, and volunteer work within local shelters. These experiences continue to shape her belief in the importance of connection, dignity, and culturally responsive care.
Maida draws from approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), psychodynamic therapy, and client-centered work. She values building a collaborative therapeutic relationship where clients feel safe exploring difficult emotions, relationship patterns, identity concerns, and personal growth at their own pace.
Maida is currently completing her graduate clinical training under supervision.
